If DreamHomy activates premium or paid services in the future, additional data strictly necessary for managing purchases, support, fulfilment of administrative and tax obligations and prevention of abuse or fraud may also be processed, within the limits of the features effectively activated and subject to an updated notice where required.

3. Purposes of processing

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • creation, management and security of the user account;
  • access to the platform and use of its features;
  • publishing, management, moderation and display of listings and requests;
  • linking published content to the related user account;
  • prevention of abuse, unlawful activities and unauthorised access;
  • handling support requests and operational or technical communications;
  • compliance with legal, regulatory or tax obligations or requests from authorities;
  • possible management of future premium or paid services, if and when activated.

4. Legal basis of processing

Depending on the case, the processing of personal data is based on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, compliance with legal obligations, the legitimate interest of the controller, or the user’s consent where required.

5. Nature of data provision

Providing certain data is necessary to create an account, access the platform, publish listings or requests and correctly use the available services.

Failure to provide the required data may make it impossible to use some features or obtain the requested service.

6. Data relating to listings and user responsibility

Listings and requests published on DreamHomy may contain information relating to properties, housing needs, images, locations and other content uploaded directly by users.

Users are responsible for the content they publish and undertake to enter only relevant, lawful and non-excessive data in relation to the purpose of the listing or request.

It is important to avoid publishing unnecessary personal data, identity documents, bank details, licence plates, recognisable faces or other sensitive elements that are not strictly relevant to the service.

7. Processing methods and security measures

Data is mainly processed using electronic and telematic tools, in accordance with principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, minimisation and purpose limitation.

DreamHomy adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to reduce the risks of unauthorised access, loss, destruction, alteration, disclosure or unlawful use of personal data.

Some information contained in listings or requests may be visible to site users to the extent necessary for use of the service.

Where possible, DreamHomy favours solutions and providers that allow data to be processed within the European Economic Area.

If some data needs to be transferred to third countries or international organisations, such transfers will take place in compliance with applicable law and with the required safeguards.
